Hybrid transnational project meeting, Palermo, May 9th-10th, 2023

From May 09 to 10, 2023, the project partners met for their second transnational meeting in Palermo, hosted by CESIE. The core partners from Greece, Italy, Portugal and Finland, presented and jointly analysed the results from the surveys conducted in the participant countries over the past months. A lively exchange between the participants followed and the resulting needs analyses will be included in the Handbook for teachers and educational staff, a mock version of which was presented the first day of the meeting.

All intellectual outputs and their deadlines were presented and discussed while the timeline of the forthcoming activities was revised and adapted. The upcoming pilot for the teaching material and the Handbook, as well as the technical requirements of the e-learning courses were specified. Furthermore, the rationale and strategic of the ARISE Dissemination Plan was presented in order to enhance the visibility and accessibility of the project.

An interactive activity also took place among the partners to test and give feedback on the proposed activity, one of the 21 in total to be included in the ARISE Handbook for Teachers and Educational staff. The experience sharing was very useful for all partners’ contribution to the material and the planned pilot in near future.

As for the next steps, the Experiential train the trainers workshop will take place in Italy in September to strengthen the capacity of the educational staff who will implement the pilot approach in the classrooms. Selected staff from the applicants and associated partners will deliver a 1-day workshop for the participating teachers. The results and feedback of the workshop and the pilot course will be presented and analysed in the partners’ third international meeting in Porto in November 2023.
